Departure back to Singapore (By Audris Lan)

It was time for us to return back to Singapore. We had a midnight flight and we were all very tired! Most of us fell asleep on the plane while the rest concentrated on the screen in front of them. Soon, it was breakfast time. I did not eat anything as I was sleeping like a log. When i woke up, we were already in Singapore! Time flies really fast that we are already in Singapore. I hope that i could be there again as the whether was very cold.

Fremantle Markets (By Yan Chi)

After a lunch of pasta at SciTech, we hopped onto the bus and headed to Freemantle Market for an afternoon of shopping. It was near the seaside and the weather was sunny but cool and breezy due to the sea. We dashed into the market and began Round 1 of shopping. Riya bought a packet of sweets which was said to be by Harry Potter. There were different tastes of disgusting everyday things, like Soap, Vomit, Booger etc. I tasted a few and spat most if them out. Frankly, they all taste the same to me- other-worldly disgusting(cue vomit). After that, we boarded the bus to a busier market.

We hopped off the bus and began Round 2 of shopping. We bought nougats, bracelets, honey cakes, macaroons etc. We ended the shopping with a street performance at well, the street! It was hilarious! They guy should have been a clown in a circus with those funny(not to mention, pevertic) jokes of his. We boarded the bus once again and headed to a restaurant for a dinner of  Fish And Chips.

Subsequently, we headed back to Goodearth for our rest.

Fun Fact: Did you know? Freemantle was originally built by convicts. So watch out the next time you go there, their ghost may haunt you. Woo........

Orchard Glory Farm: Team Building Activities (By Charmian Pang)

We had a treasure hunt hosted by Uncle David for the Team Building Activities. First, we had a few trial runs to prepare ourselves for the treasure hunt.

The first trial run was a race. We were given a list of body parts and we had to hold the baton with that body part you are assigned to. e.g: chin, ankle, elbow etc.

The second trial run requires our brain. There was a circle marked on the floor and inside the circle was a cup with items inside. We were suppose to get the items in the cup into another cup using only a few wires. But wait, it isn't as simple as that, the air inside the circle is "toxic" so we aren't allowed to get in the circle which, trust me, is VERY difficult.

Now, back to the treasure hunt. In the first stage, we were given a packet of balloons. We were suppose to blow the balloons and tape them together to make a tower taller than a chair that was provided. This stage was a little different then the others as we were allowed to copy the other team's structure. Some of us may think this was unfair, but Uncle David's purpose of adding this advantage was for us to observe the other team whenever it is possible. Just like real life, we should always observe and learn from other people.

The second stage was a challenge. We were given a packet of straws, a roll of tape and an egg. Using these materials, we had to drop the egg from Uncle David's shoulder length and made sure it didn't crack. My team thought of a brilliant idea. We used the plastic bag containing the straws and wrapped it around the egg. This taught me to think flexibly. At first, our egg cracked and we were a bit disappointed but we can't give up there. We tried different methods including wrapping the egg with the plastic bag and we succeeded!

The third stage was TIRING. We had to get 10 different type of leaves, 5 different type of fruits and count the amount of wooden steps at the wielder. Getting 10 different type of leaves and counting the amount of steps is quite easy but getting 5 different fruits is actually quite tough. We had to walk on thorny paths ,walk up steep hills etc.

The last challenge was just as tiring. We were given 2 pieces of paper each containing 9 pictures. We were suppose to use a camera and take 10 pictures that were printed on the paper. We had a hard time figuring out where are the places that were printed on the paper. At the same time while we take some pictures, we explored some places in the farm that we never knew was there.

The winner is the first one to complete all the stages stated. My team won and received a box of eye-opening goodies. But, in order not to make the other team unhappy, Uncle David prepared a same box containing the same amount of goodies which is very nice of him.

I learned about teamwork and to have good teamwork, we need to have strong communication within the group. I also learnt that we need to observe the people around us when we have a chance. Thinking flexibly is also important: if we cannot try a method, then try a different method!

A very scenic view taken at Orchard Glory Farm!

How should i do this?

Moore River Cruise and Sandboarding (By Riya)

Today we headed to Moore River to go for sand boarding. To get to the sand dunes, we took a boat ride on Mr Phil Cook's boat. Captain Cook (do not make fun of his name), shared with us some information on the river and ties ecosystems. He explained to us about the organisms and animals and plants living near the river and how Guilderton (the town where Moore River is located) got its name.

When we reached the sand dunes, we had to climb up to the top of the sand and board down from there using special boards brought by Captain Cook for us to use. At first, it was pretty scary but after few tries, it turned out to be fun! The scariest thing was at the end of the hill was actually the river water! We will sandboard into it anytime if we were not careful. But in the end, no one came even close to the river edge. It was pure fun!

After sand boarding, there was a tea break and Captain Cook kindly provided us with lovely scones with jam and cream and tea! It was a delectable treat! We had a wonderful time!

Orchard Glory Farm (by Juninho Yeu)

Rise and shine as we wake up in the Orchard Glory Farm Resort. We first had our breakfast at the
hall. Then we went straight to Farmer Keith truck where his baby goats are.We fed them, milked
them and even carried them as if they were like a small child!

After that,we walked down the path leading to his farm,on the way,we saw many different animals,
such as the horses, rams, llamas and alpacas. We fed the horses with carrots, rams with special leaves
provided by Farmer Keith, llamas and alpaca seed like oats!

Moving on to the Winery, we learned from Farmer Keith how wine is made,it was a long process and

I did not have my notebook with me so I did not take the steps down but we still got the chance to do
the last stage of making wine, BOTTLING!It was another long process but it got the job done. First,
we fill the glass bottle with wine.Second,we push the cork into the bottle using a machine. I was
unable to push it in so I called help from my group! With ease we pushed it in.Third we put a cover
on the cork. And last but not least, the labels! I got to know the name of the wine, Shiraz Grenache
2004.

We moved over to the field which was filled up with trees of oranges! He let us pick an orange each.
I plucked one and ate it,it tasted joyful, sweet and filled with enlightenment! Of course we were allowed
to pick fruits beside our chalets such as the pomegranate and oranges, but the ones at the farm were
the best!

Look! The first bottle of wine we bottled together!

Things to do, Children

We are now at Perth. International Airport using the free wifi available. While we wait, I might as well write down the things I will need you all to do for the assignment for this Trip.

It has been a wonderful trip. I hope you had fun and really truly discovered something new, learnt something useful from someone or learnt something or a lot of things about yourself from this trip. All the teachers agreed that you have been rather good children in during the trip though there were times when we got angry and reprimanded some of you but we still felt that you all have been good and it was a wonderful trip that we had. May that be a nice memory for you to remember in years to come.

I have personally learnt a lot from our driver, Mr Gordon. His great wealth of knowledge in astronomy. I learnt how to locate Mars from the night sky as well as the southern cross!

So now I am going to list the things that needs to be done here.
1) self reflection blog (one page not leaving lines)
2) bloggers (those who owe me the blogs)
3) If you have any medical claims (within 3 days of arriving in Spore, you saw a doctor for some illness caught from the trip), please write an email or contact Mrs Grace Koh to give you the details on how to make claims (if any).

Lastly, have a good break from school children before we start to work hard yet again in Term 3!

Best Regards,
Ms Er

Mrs Koh

Scitech, Perth (by Phyo Naing)

Today as a very tiring day! We went to the Science Centre of Perth. Although it was smaller than the Singapore Science Centre, we enjoyed our trip there. First, we watched a three dimensional show called "Dream to Fly" at the planetarium. Then we went to play at some of the exhibits of the Science Centre, the Discoverland. After we finished with that, we had chicken pasta and fries for lunch! We enjoyed our trip very much.

Caversham Wildlife Park (by Anisah)

We had such a fun day meeting with animals at the Caversham Wildlife Park today. We headed straight for the farm show at about 10am. We watched how the rangers of the park shear the sheep's wool and told us what it can be used for. Some of us were very lucky, got to be selected from the audience to feed the baby sheep with milk. We also got to milk a cow named Brenda.

We went to see other marsupials like koalas and kangeroos. My favorite animal is a little joey named Delia. According to the park rangers, her parents died so she is an orphan, all the rangers took turns to bring her home with them every day. Along the way we saw other animals like the koalas and wombat. Everyone enjoyed themselves at the Caversham Wildlife Park and we all wished to come back to the park again with out families.

Our pupils were selected to feed the young lambs during the farm show!
