Moore River Cruise and Sandboarding (By Riya)

Today we headed to Moore River to go for sand boarding. To get to the sand dunes, we took a boat ride on Mr Phil Cook's boat. Captain Cook (do not make fun of his name), shared with us some information on the river and ties ecosystems. He explained to us about the organisms and animals and plants living near the river and how Guilderton (the town where Moore River is located) got its name.

When we reached the sand dunes, we had to climb up to the top of the sand and board down from there using special boards brought by Captain Cook for us to use. At first, it was pretty scary but after few tries, it turned out to be fun! The scariest thing was at the end of the hill was actually the river water! We will sandboard into it anytime if we were not careful. But in the end, no one came even close to the river edge. It was pure fun!

After sand boarding, there was a tea break and Captain Cook kindly provided us with lovely scones with jam and cream and tea! It was a delectable treat! We had a wonderful time!
